Google Chat Internal API Document:

  • Google chat Internal API let you send asynchronous messages into Google Chat from applications that aren't bots themselves.

  • For example, you can configure a Phonon central application to notify a call personnel on Google Chat when they missed a calls.

  • Incoming Webhooks serve as a quick and easy way to integrate with existing workflows such as these without the overhead of writing entire bot applications.

How to setup Google Chat Internal Webhook ?

Step-1: Create a space or use existing chat space where you want to receive messages in google chat.

Step-2: Select Manage webhooks.

  • Go to manage Webhook setting by pressing on group name.

Step-3: Copy URL

  • If this is the space's first webhook, you are prompted to provide a webhook name and avatar URL. If the space already has webhooks, click Add another.

Step-4: select a flow where you want to add google chat API.

Step-5: Add Webhook widget on a flow.

Step-6: Select custom Webhook option

Step-7: Select method Post.

Step-9: Add URL which you have copied from the Google Space

Step-10: Remove %3D at the end of the URL

 

Step-11: Select Authentication mode “None”

Step-12: Add Body type JSON.

Step-13: Add message which you want to add in below mentioned format.

Step-14: Add Notes (If Required)

  • It is a place to write any information about the webhook, such as expected request, expected response, meaning of response, etc.

Step-15: Select response type as JSON and click next.

Step-16: Click finish.
